A support group that highlights the plight of Fillipino children estranged from their Japanese fathers:-
http://www.dawnphil.org/
The site is rather out-of-date (it's latest update looks to be mid-2001) but it's an interesting take on the problems and possible solutions in Japan with reuniting estranged fathers and their kids (in this case, reuniting the kids who are the seekers to their fathers).
Anyway, I also found an article that actually states successes with this group in assisting Filipino children in uniting them with their fathers:-

It just goes to show how strongly children feel about this subject too - they are the silent victims all too often. If they are old enough, and haven't been brainwashed into suffering the Parental Alienation Syndrome, they will always want to visit their father. Why shouldn't this be so?
I remember seeing a program on Japanese TV about this a few years ago regarding this very thing (Filipino child/Japanese father). I didn't pay it THAT much attention then - now I see that there is a certain sympathy vote for the "lost" children who live in the Philippines, a result of the Japanese sex trade (Filipino women plying their trade in Japan). I wonder if that sympathy could extend to other nations too. Or is it a numbers game?
