e-mail addresses/phone numbers of all family courts in Japan

Home  > Developer's Area > e-mail addresses/phone numbers of all family courts in Japan
I wonder if anyone can find a directory of all the family courts of Japan and their contact e-mail addresses (though not sure if the family courts actually use e-mail for communication yet) and phone numbers.

I want to publish a full list of the family courts of Japan, along (hopefully) with their e-mail addresses. I'll then produce a facility on this site for visitors to compose a message to one/some/all of the family courts along with the option to include the petition list as an attachment to the e-mail. This is what accountability is all about.

Hi,

I had quick search on the net but didn't find any email addresses for the family courts. To be expected I suppose. Anyway, here is a partly translated page with the menu bar in the centre showing each prefecture.

link here

(original: http://www.courts.go.jp/ )

Click on the prefecture you want and a short list will appear underneath with the different courts. The family court shows up as: (prefecture/city name + 家庭裁判所) Click on that and you will be taken to a page with a map of the prefecture. Just under that you'll see a link with access information (アクセス情報.)Again you'll see the kanji for the family court you're after, (probably the second or third one down) with the phone number and address. No fax number though :(

Thanks Harry.....

I managed to get some phone numbers but no e-mail addresses (I think it's a long-shot at the moment that any family courts are that open to have a contact e-mail address, but worth a try).

I'm going to develop a system where people can contribute e-mail addresses to a list - such as newspapers and other media outlets' email addresses - and the opportunity to send a mailshot to this list - I'd need to make sure each e-mail was that of a media outlet, and also approve of each message before each mailshot is sent. It would be trialed with the option for those on the list to have themselves removed at the click of a button - anyway, I think it's worth trying.

Another idea might be to check into the online fax services. I could be wrong, but I thought I remembered that some of them would send local faxes for free, and there maybe some in Japan. I wonder if you could arrange for that to be done automatically at the touch of a buttom. Would be a good idea if you could!
